The largest affected extension corresponds to the southern face of the National Park,composed mostly of fayal-brezal and pine forest,where in the last 30 years reforestation works have taken place,substituting the pines for other tree species and therefore the youngest sector of the National Park.
The northern slope,which concentrates the largest expanse of Green Mountain,and Laurel It has been virtually intact,preserving all the moisture in its entirety and the ecological values offered by the area known as El Cedro – Contadero.
